Some even custom‑mix feeds or sell by the pound — perfect for small flocks & backyard pets.

Straw is stalks left after grain harvest (usually wheat or oat); used for bedding & mulch—it’s hollow and less nutritious.

Hay is cut & dried grasses/legumes; used for feeding animals—it’s green and nutrient‑rich.

A great source for both Straw & Hay is either Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace, especially in Fall. ​Some will deliver for a small fee. Always ask if it’s clean straw (free of mold and weed seeds).

Another place to try is asking local community if they are willing to donate their decorate bales to you after Fall holidays.
