Feral Cat Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR)

Volunteers are actively working to gather support, funding, and resources to begin addressing the growing feral and stray cat population in our area and you can easily help!

It’s important to understand that our local animal shelter and animal control cannot solve this problem alone. This is a community issue—and the most effective, humane solution begins with spaying and neutering. Every resident of Erwin and Unicoi can play a role in stopping the cycle.

Brighter Tails is an official 501(c)(3) project under Grumpy Puppy Rescue. All donations directly support Erwin/Unicoi TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) efforts.

A tax-deductible receipt will be automatically issued.

Help Us Help Them by Reporting Cat Colonies

If you know of a feral or stray cat colony in the Erwin or Unicoi area, please take a moment to fill out the form below. We are creating a map of known cat colonies so that, if funding or support becomes available, we can quickly identify where help is most needed. Your input is vital and appreciated—thank you for being part of the solution.

Please describe the colony location below or exact address/intersection. (e.g., behind Dollar General on Main St, or 100 block of Elm Ave)
